Philadelphia police seek suspect in multiple felony retail thefts across city districts

PHILADELPHIA, PA – Authorities are asking for the public’s help locating Jarrell Haywood Porter, who is wanted in connection with a string of felony retail thefts across several Philadelphia police districts and nearby counties.

According to the Philadelphia Police Department, Porter is linked to theft incidents in the 2nd, 5th, 7th, 8th, and 15th Districts. Investigators believe he has targeted multiple retail locations in recent weeks.

Porter is reportedly driving a blue Mitsubishi Mirage with a missing hubcap or donut spare tire on the front passenger side. The vehicle bears Pennsylvania tag number LCV5259 and VIN ML32F3FJ9KHF12603.

Police issue warning to public

Authorities urge anyone who spots Porter or the suspect vehicle not to approach him but to call 911 immediately.

Anonymous tips can also be submitted by phone at 215-686-TIPS (8477) or online through the department’s confidential electronic form.

Investigators say Porter remains wanted on multiple active warrants and may still be operating the described vehicle.
