WHIPPANY, NJ – A group of Northern New Jersey Girl Scouts traded badges for hard hats this week during “Trucks are for Girls: Fueling the Future,” an interactive STEM and leadership event hosted by Suburban Propane at its national headquarters.
The program, held in partnership with the Girl Scouts of Northern New Jersey and the Women in Trucking Association, introduced girls to careers in energy, sustainability, and transportation.

Participants toured Suburban Propane’s Whippany facility, climbed aboard a propane delivery truck, and tested their skills on a state-of-the-art driving simulator housed in the Women in Trucking Association’s “WITney” trailer.
