CLARKSTOWN, NY – Clarkstown Police have announced temporary road closures scheduled for Monday afternoon to accommodate the 44th Annual Brinks Memorial Ceremony.
Mountainview Avenue will be closed from Route 59 to the Tappan Zee Manor entrance between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m.
Motorists are advised to plan alternate routes during the event, as officers will be stationed along the roadway to assist with traffic control and ensure public safety.

Annual ceremony to honor fallen officers
The Brinks Memorial Ceremony commemorates the 1981 armored truck robbery and subsequent shootings in Nanuet and Nyack that claimed the lives of two police officers and a security guard.
