Boston, MA A woman is paralyzed after being struck by gunfire during a shooting intended for another target. The incident occurred on Monday afternoon as the victim left a doctor’s appointment with her boyfriend near 258 Dudley Street in Roxbury.

Shawn Walker, 24, has been arrested and charged with several offenses, including assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. The Boston Police Department confirmed his arrest on Wednesday.

The shooting took place around 4 p.m. as the couple heard multiple shots and sought cover. When police arrived at 4:10 p.m., they found the 25-year-old woman on the ground with a gunshot wound to her back.

More than 20 spent 9 mm shell casings were found at the scene, alongside damage to a nearby restaurant and vehicle. Video footage indicated that a gray Hyundai sedan was involved, parking at the intersection shortly before the shooting occurred.

Surveillance showed the shooter leaving the sedan, firing at a target in front of the restaurant, which was occupied at the time. The intended target fled into the restaurant as the shooting commenced.

Walker allegedly has significant previous convictions, including violent and drug-related crimes. He also reportedly released a music video titled “Addicted To Killing” shortly after the incident.

Another suspect, 23-year-old Devante Stinson, is facing similar charges and was arrested on October 23. Walker is currently held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing.
