Teen girls busted after downtown Baltimore robbery spree

Two juveniles arrested in Central District Baltimore robbery spree

BALTIMORE, MD — Two teenage girls have been arrested in connection with a string of armed robberies that targeted multiple victims in downtown Baltimore on November 17, according to the Baltimore Police Department.

Detectives say the four robberies took place across three separate locations — the 400 block of North Charles Street, the 800 block of North Charles Street, and the Unit block of East Saratoga Street. In each incident, a group of unidentified females approached victims and demanded their belongings while threatening them with a handgun. One victim was physically assaulted during the robbery spree.

Following an investigation by the Baltimore Community Intelligence Center (BCIC), detectives obtained surveillance footage capturing at least one of the incidents. The footage helped officers identify and locate one of the suspects near the intersection of Light and Pratt Streets. The suspect, a 16-year-old female, was taken into custody and found in possession of stolen property belonging to one of the victims.

A second 16-year-old female suspect was arrested on an open warrant for attempted theft from another jurisdiction. Both juveniles were transported to Juvenile Booking for processing and face charges related to the robberies.
