One of Jackson’s best holiday light show returns to dazzle residents once again this month

JACKSON, NJ – One of Jackson’s most celebrated holiday traditions is making its return this season as The Cook’s Christmas Lights prepares to flip the switch on another year of dazzling displays.

Organizers confirmed that the show will officially go live at 6 p.m. on Saturday, November 29, bringing back thousands of synchronized lights, festive music, and community cheer to 1 Carlson Court.

The popular neighborhood attraction, hosted by Michael Cook and family, has drawn visitors from across Ocean County for its elaborate holiday setup and family-friendly atmosphere.

Show returns despite challenging setup

Cook said windy conditions made setup difficult this year, with gusts delaying installation of the show’s taller decorations and house-mounted props.

“Putting up tall props and stuff on the house can really be slowed down by gusty conditions,” Cook said. “But we’re happy to say we did our first full testing tonight and almost everything went well.”

The team reported the display is about 99% complete and expects all remaining technical adjustments to be finalized before opening night.

Lights synchronized to holiday music

Visitors can tune their car radios to enjoy holiday music synchronized with the light show from the comfort of their vehicles.

The show will run Sunday through Thursday from 6 to 10 p.m., and from 6 to 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays throughout the season.

Cook thanked residents for their ongoing support, adding that the family looks forward to welcoming guests back for another year of holiday celebration.
