SOUTH RIVER, NJ – A water main break on Whitehead Avenue near Charles Street forced emergency repairs Monday, leaving some residents without water and others dealing with low pressure or discoloration.

Crews from South River Public Works began work around 9 a.m. and expect to continue through approximately 5 p.m.

The South River Police Department warned residents via social media that temporary service interruptions are possible in the immediate area as the water system undergoes repairs.
