Bank robbery suspect arrested after brief manhunt in York County

MANCHESTER TOWNSHIP, PA – A 59-year-old Harrisburg man has been arrested and charged in connection with a bank robbery that occurred Friday morning at a First National Bank branch in York County, police announced.

The Northern York County Regional Police Department responded at 10:06 a.m. on November 21 to a robbery at the bank located at 55 Arsenal Road. According to investigators, the suspect initially entered the bank and asked for something to write on. After appearing flustered when another customer entered, he claimed he forgot something in his vehicle and exited.

A short time later, he returned. Approaching a teller, the man reportedly asked if she could “do him a favor” before instructing her to hand over “everything in the drawers” and not to trigger the panic alarm. Though no weapon was seen, the suspect implied he had one.
