Cincinnati player claims $1 million Holiday Millions win from ticket sold in Loveland

Cincinnati, OH – A Cincinnati resident is ending the year on a high note after winning a $2 million top prize from the Ohio Lottery’s Holiday Millions scratch-off game, opting for the $1 million cash payout instead of annual payments.

The winner chose the lump sum option of $1,000,000 and, after federal and state tax withholdings totaling 27.125%, will take home $728,750. The winning $30 ticket was sold at Meijer #150, located at 3911 State Routes 22 & 23 in Loveland.

Holiday Millions is one of the Ohio Lottery’s higher-tier holiday-themed games, offering a top prize of $80,000 per year for 25 years or a $1 million cash option. As of Thursday, only one top prize remains unclaimed in the game.

The seasonal game has been a popular choice for lottery players looking to land a major win before the end of the year. Retailers also benefit, with Meijer #150 likely eligible for a sales commission on the prize-winning ticket.

Since 1974, the Ohio Lottery has generated more than $34 billion for public education in the state.
