Albany, NY – Holiday spirit filled the halls of Albany Medical Center Children’s Hospital as members of the New York State Police wrapped up their 12th Annual Toy Drive, delivering hundreds of gifts to young patients spending the season in care. The annual event, organized by Troop G and Troop H, has become a cherished tradition that brings joy and comfort to children and families navigating difficult medical challenges during the holidays.
This year’s effort was made possible through the continued support of the Signal 30 NYS Troopers Benefit Fund, along with contributions from the New York State Police Investigators Association (NYSPIA), the New York State Troopers Police Benevolent Association (NYSTPBA), and a network of generous corporate sponsors.
Officers gathered and sorted toys ranging from board games and dolls to books and art kits before delivering them directly to the hospital, where staff members helped distribute them to patients. Organizers said the drive represents the State Police’s commitment to community service beyond law enforcement duties, offering a moment of hope to children facing illness and the medical teams who care for them.
