Firefighters battle active house fire on Garfield Avenue in Cherry Hill

CHERRY HILL, N.J. – Fire crews are on the scene of an active dwelling fire on the 200 block of Garfield Avenue, the Cherry Hill Fire Department announced late Monday afternoon.

Officials urged residents to avoid the area between Friendship Lane and Madison Avenue as emergency operations continue. Multiple CHFD units responded to the scene, and photos released by the department show heavy smoke and fire conditions around the home.
