BROOKVILLE, OH — A Brookville woman’s stop at a local Sunoco gas station turned into a six-figure windfall after she scratched her way to a $250,000 top prize on the Ohio Lottery’s Jackpot Party ticket.

The winning $5 ticket was sold at the Sunoco located at 237 Market Street in Brookville. After required state and federal taxes totaling 26.75%, the winner will take home $183,125.

Jackpot Party is one of the Ohio Lottery’s $5 scratch-off games offering players a chance at over $23 million in total cash prizes. According to lottery officials, six top prizes of $250,000 remain unclaimed as of Monday.

Since its inception in 1974, the Ohio Lottery has contributed more than $34 billion to support public education across the state.
