CAMBRIDGE, MD — A 24-year-old woman faces multiple DUI charges after a late-night crash on Chestnut Place where officers reported a breath test reading of 0.21 BAC, according to the Cambridge Police Department.
Officers responded around 11:24 p.m. April 11 to the 1200 block of Chestnut Place for a reported motor vehicle collision, where occupants of one vehicle said they were sitting inside when another car struck them.
Officers report signs of impairment at crash scene
Cambridge Police said the driver of the striking vehicle was identified as Anaja Lanae Height, 24, of Cambridge. When officers made contact, they reported detecting a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and said Height made statements indicating she had consumed alcohol.
Height was asked to perform Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, which officers said she did not complete successfully. She was then taken into custody and transported to the Cambridge Police Department for further investigation.
At the station, Height elected to take a breath test, which showed a blood alcohol concentration of 0.21, more than twice the legal limit.

Height has been charged with several alcohol-related driving offenses, including driving under the influence of alcohol, driving while impaired, and driving while so far impaired she could not drive safely.
