Washington, DC — A reported stabbing at a Northeast intersection has triggered a search for an armed suspect, with police warning the public as the investigation unfolds.

The incident was reported around 10:57 a.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Queen Chapel Road NE and Adams Place NE. Officers responding to the scene confirmed a stabbing and began canvassing the area.

Police are searching for a suspect described as a Black male wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and armed with a knife. No direction of travel has been established.

No information about the victim’s condition has been released.

Authorities are urging residents not to approach the suspect and to call 911 immediately if he is seen.
