Man shot on Shields Place as Baltimore police search for answers

Baltimore, MD — A late-night shooting in Baltimore’s Western District left a young man wounded and investigators working to determine what led to the gunfire.

Officers responded around 9:36 p.m. April 27 to the 1500 block of Shields Place after receiving reports of shots fired. Upon arrival, they located a 20-year-old male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

The victim was transported to a nearby hospital, where he is listed in stable condition.

No suspect information has been released as Western District detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
