First $1M win hits new Massachusetts scratch-off just weeks after launch
Attleboro, MA — A newly released lottery game has already produced its first $1M winner after a Massachusetts man claimed the prize just weeks after tickets hit store shelves.
Adam Finnell of Attleboro became the first $1M prize winner in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s $4,000,000 Extreme Cash instant ticket gam. He chose the cash option, receiving a one-time payment of $650,000 before taxes.
The winning ticket was purchased at Dodgeville Country Store, located at 408 South Main Street in Attleboro. The retailer will receive a $10,000 bonus for selling the ticket.
Finnell said he plans to invest a portion of the winnings, save for retirement, complete home repairs, and take trips.
The $10 game still has multiple top prizes remaining, including additional $1M prizes and two $4M grand prizes.
