Bohemia, NY — A Long Island retailer sold a winning Powerball ticket worth $50,000 following the May 2 drawing, according to New York Lottery officials.

The ticket was purchased at Ronak Cardland Inc on Sunrise Highway and matched four of the five white balls plus the Powerball to secure the third-tier prize.

Powerball drawings are held three times a week, with numbers drawn from a pool of 1 through 69 and the Powerball from 1 through 26.

Winners have up to one year to claim their prize.
