Deputies say impaired man tried forcing entry into residence before being detained

STAFFORD, Va. — A man was arrested Thursday after deputies said he attempted to force his way into a Stafford County home while displaying signs of impairment during a chaotic disturbance call.

Deputy Hart responded around 5:02 p.m. Thursday to Quarles Road after reports of a suspicious person allegedly armed with a weapon attempting to enter a residence.

When deputies arrived, the suspect was detained. Investigators determined the suspect did not have any weapons on him.

According to the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office, the suspect displayed signs of impairment, including glassy eyes and erratic behavior, and admitted to using marijuana earlier in the day.

Deputies later located marijuana on the suspect and determined the residence’s door handle had been broken during the incident.

The suspect was identified as Omar Molina Villatoro, 30, of Spotsylvania.

Molina Villatoro was charged with public intoxication and intent to damage property. He was held without bond at Rappahannock Regional Jail.
