Three defendants are facing dozens of charges after investigators linked them to a series of gunpoint robberies and license plate thefts across Center City and North Philadelphia, according to the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office.
Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner announced Monday that Carlos Bristow, Nyere Gredic, and Hasan Robinson have been charged following a grand jury investigation into multiple armed robberies and vehicle-related thefts that occurred between late 2025 and early 2026.
Prosecutors allege the group carried out a string of gunpoint robberies while using stolen license plates and vehicles to avoid detection. Bail has been set at $1 million for each defendant.
Armed Robberies Targeted Center City Victims
According to the investigation, Philadelphia police began receiving reports in late 2025 involving stolen license plates and armed robberies in Center City and North Philadelphia.
Victims reported being robbed at gunpoint in locations including the 1000 block of Cherry Street, the 1100 block of Race Street, the 1700 block of Chestnut Street, and the 2000 block of Walnut Street.
Authorities said the suspects wore masks to conceal their identities, carried firearms, and traveled in Honda sedans displaying license plates registered to other Hondas.
Chase Ends With Crash on Kelly Drive
The investigation accelerated on Oct. 27 when Philadelphia police pursued a stolen white Honda sedan. The chase began near North 19th Street and ended when the vehicle crashed on Kelly Drive.
Police said Bristow, Gredic, and Robinson were among the occupants inside the vehicle when officers took them into custody.
“Detectives also recovered from the vehicle firearms, cell phones, and stolen credit cards and an ID from a previously reported robbery,” the District Attorney’s Office said.
Investigators later examined the recovered cell phones and allegedly found photographs, videos, and internet browsing history connecting the defendants to the crimes.
Dozens of Charges Filed
Bristow faces the most serious case, including seven robbery counts, multiple firearm offenses, conspiracy charges, theft-related offenses, and additional counts involving stolen registration plates.
Gredic was charged with robbery, conspiracy, firearm violations, theft offenses, and related crimes. Robinson, who was 17 at the time of the alleged offenses, faces robbery, conspiracy, firearm, theft, and fraud-related charges.
The charges stem from a grand jury investigation conducted by the District Attorney’s Office Gun Violence Task Force.
“I want to thank ADA Manuel Colon and the DAO’s Gun Violence Task Force for its detailed work on this case,” Krasner said. “The data shows that the vast majority of violent crime in Philadelphia is concentrated among a very small fraction of the population. For those who want to be a part of that small minority, there are handcuffs and jail cells waiting for you.”
Assistant District Attorney Manuel Colon credited victims and investigators for helping build the case.
“Without the help of these victims, detectives at PPD’s Central Division, and our federal law enforcement partners, these individuals might have continued to wreak havoc on our community,” Colon said. “As a result of their assistance, we are able to move forward with prosecution and bring these defendants to justice.”
