An Ocklawaha resident claimed a $10 million Powerball prize after buying the winning ticket at a Circle K in Leesburg.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — A Marion County man is officially a multimillionaire after claiming a $10 million Powerball prize from a ticket purchased at a convenience store in Lake County.

Christopher Trail, 51, of Ocklawaha, claimed the $10 million prize from the March 11 Powerball drawing at Florida Lottery headquarters in Tallahassee on March 18, according to lottery officials.

Trail purchased the winning ticket at the Circle K located at 10030 County Road 44 in Leesburg.

The Florida Lottery did not release additional details about the winning ticket or the prize option selected.

Since Florida joined Powerball in 2009, the game has generated more than $3.37 billion for education statewide. According to the Florida Lottery, players in the state have claimed more than 158 million winning Powerball tickets totaling over $4.07 billion in prizes, including 17 jackpot winners.

The next Powerball drawing is scheduled for Saturday, June 27, with an estimated jackpot of $348 million.
