Man Stabbed on Dicks Dies At Hospital

A 31-year-old man died after suffering a stab wound Friday evening, and Philadelphia police are asking the public for information as detectives search for the person responsible.

Philadelphia, PA – The Philadelphia Police Department Homicide Unit is investigating a fatal stabbing that occurred Friday evening in the city’s 12th District.

At approximately 7:30 p.m., officers responded to the 6300 block of Dicks Avenue, where they found a 31-year-old man suffering from a single stab wound to his left arm. Officers transported the victim to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 8:09 p.m.

Investigation ongoing

“The crime scene was secured for processing; however, no weapons have been recovered at this time, and no arrests have been made,” the Philadelphia Police Department said.

Police also noted that “this information is preliminary and subject to change, and updates will be provided as they become available.”

Reward offered for information

Authorities are offering a $20,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction, consistent with all homicide investigations in Philadelphia.
