Greensburg, PA – A Latrobe woman has been sentenced to state prison after pleading guilty to causing a serious crash while driving under the influence of narcotics, according to the Westmoreland County District Attorney’s Office.

Breah Gonzalez, 27, pleaded guilty Thursday before Westmoreland County Common Pleas Judge Timothy Krieger to aggravated assault by vehicle while DUI and several related offenses. The judge sentenced her to serve three to six years in state prison for the December 2025 crash that left another driver with life-threatening injuries.

Driver crossed center line on Cameo Lane

According to Pennsylvania State Police, Gonzalez was driving on Cameo Lane in Hempfield Township when she crossed the center line and crashed head-on into an oncoming vehicle.

Investigators determined Gonzalez was impaired by narcotics at the time of the collision. Toxicology testing found cocaine and multiple forms of THC in her system shortly after the crash.

The victim suffered severe injuries, including a ruptured spleen and broken ribs, according to court records and investigators.

Drugs found inside vehicle

Troopers said they recovered a glass smoking device along with cocaine and marijuana from Gonzalez’s vehicle during the investigation. Authorities also determined she did not possess a valid driver’s license at the time of the crash.

“The judge sentenced Gonzalez to serve three to six years in state prison for causing the accident in December of 2025 that left another motorist with severe injuries,” the Westmoreland County District Attorney’s Office said in announcing the case’s resolution.

Following the crash, Pennsylvania State Police charged Gonzalez with aggravated assault by vehicle while DUI, driving under the influence, drug-related offenses, and multiple traffic violations. She was originally arraigned on $75,000 bail and remained incarcerated in the Westmoreland County Prison after her January arrest.

The case was investigated by the Pennsylvania State Police and prosecuted by the Westmoreland County District Attorney’s Office. The guilty plea brings the criminal case to a close, with Gonzalez now beginning her state prison sentence.
