Cashword ticket bought at Circleville Mini Mart delivers five-figure win
LANCASTER, OH – A Lancaster man turned a $30 Ohio Lottery scratch-off into a $50K win after buying a $2,000,000 Cashword ticket at a convenience store in Circleville.
The winning ticket was purchased at Circleville Mini Mart, located at 520 E. Main St. in Circleville, according to the Ohio Lottery.
The Fairfield County player won $50,000 playing the $30 scratch-off.
After 26.75% in state and federal taxes, the winner will receive $36,625.
The Ohio Lottery did not identify the winner or provide details about when he purchased or scratched the ticket.
The $2,000,000 Cashword game has more than $93 million in total cash prizes.
As of Monday, Aug. 10, one top prize remains in the game.
That prize pays $80,000 per year for 25 years, representing a total of $2 million over the 25-year period.
The Lottery did not disclose what the Lancaster winner plans to do with his $50,000 prize.
