COLUMBUS, OH – On February 13, 2021, at approximately 8:23 p.m., officers were dispatched to the area of 1060 Covington Road on the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, the officers located the victim, Kasey Bowersmith.
Mr. Bowersmith explained to officers that he had recently left the area Speedway Gas Station and was walking through the parking lot in the area of 1060 Covington Road when a white vehicle pull up next to him and one of the occupants ordered him to “Come Here.” Mr. Bowersmith began running when he heard two gunshots and was struck by gunfire.
Mr. Bowersmith was later transported to an area hospital and is expected to survive his injuries. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact Det. J. Jude #2155 at 614-645-4141 or Crimes Stoppers at 614-461-8477.
