In what was thought to be a meteor shower that lit up the sky over the Pacific Northwest was actually falling debris from the Space X Falcon 9 rocket returning to orbit. The re-entry burnup occurred thirty miles high in the sky. The space debris returning to earth light up the night sky. Scientists believe most of the debris burned up before hitting the earth’s surface. The rocket launched on March 4th.
