TOMS RIVER, NJ – Former New York Yankees third baseman Todd Frazier, a Toms River resident, visit North Dover Elementary School, where he shared his Olympic medal with Mrs. Gottleib’s kindergarten class.

Frazier, who last played for the Pittsburgh Pirates in 2020, later joined Team USA and was on the team that won the silver medal after a defeat to host team Japan at the Tokyo Olympics. Frazier went 3 for 21 during the Olympics at the plate.

In 2012, Frazier finished third in the Rookie of the Year award voting. In 2014 and 2015, Frazier was a member of the National League All-Star Team as a member of the Cincinnati Reds. He later played for the White Sox, Yankees, and Mets before ending his Major League career with the Pittsburgh Pirates.
