Suspect Ran Over Victim While Walking Dog in Hanover

HANOVER, MD – On May 2, 2022, at approximately 7:50 p.m., officers responded to the area of Twisted Oak Place and Bakers Creek Lane in Hanover for an assault with a motor vehicle. The 30-year-old male victim was walking his dog across the street when a silver Hyundai Tucson approached at high speed. The vehicle stopped in front of the victim as he crossed, then accelerated, striking the victim.

The victim rolled off of the hood of the Hyundai and onto the ground as the driver fled the scene. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the Hyundai. Western District detectives are investigating and ask anyone with information to call 410-222-6155 or the Tip Line at 410-222-4700.
