Dump Truck Takes Out Utility Poles, Snarling Morning Commute in Monroe Township

by Charlie Dwyer

MONROE TOWNSHIP, NJ – Police in Monroe have closed traffic on Glassboro Road (Route 322) between Tuckahoe Road and Fries Mill Road.

The closure comes after a dump truck with its loader in the up position took out several utility poles, snapping them.

Police said it is unknown at this time when the road will be reopened.

“The time frame is currently unknown,” police said. “Please seek alternative routes. Expect disruptions to your morning commute if you’re in this area.”
