Pedestrian struck and killed by car in Suitland

SUITLAND, MD – A man was struck and killed while in the roadway in Suitland overnight.

A fatal pedestrian collision occurred in Suitland on Thursday night, and the Prince George’s County Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating the incident.

The victim’s identity was not released.

At approximately 11:30 p.m. on December 22, 2022, officers responded to the 4700 block of Silver Hill Road. 

“The preliminary investigation revealed the driver of a sedan was driving westbound on Silver Hill Road, when for reasons under investigation, struck the pedestrian who was in the roadway,” PGPD said in a statement today. “The pedestrian was pronounced dead on the scene. The driver was not injured and remained on the scene.”
