Medford Township Man Charged for Murdering Wife

MEDFORD TOWNSHIP, NJ – Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia L. Bradshaw announced today that Babu Natarajan, 40, has been charged with the murder of his wife, Angammal Babu, 41, in their Regent Court home. Natarajan was taken into custody at his residence and is currently being held in the Burlington County Jail pending a detention hearing.

On the afternoon of March 21, Medford Township Police officers responded to the couple’s residence after Natarajan reported his wife as unconscious and unresponsive.

Upon arrival, officers discovered Angammal’s body in the upstairs master bedroom. An autopsy conducted by Burlington County Medical Examiner Dr. Ian Hood concluded that the manner of death was homicide, and the cause of death was due to compression of the victim’s neck.

The investigation is being conducted by the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office and the Medford Township Police Department, and the case will be prepared for presentation to a grand jury for possible indictment.
