Man Injured in Newark Shooting Incident

NEWARK, DE – The Delaware State Police have launched an investigation into a shooting incident that took place on Sunset Lake Road, Newark, last Friday. At around 11:30 pm, a 52-year-old man arrived at the hospital with a gunshot wound on his hand.

The victim reported that the incident occurred earlier in the night, at around 10:00 pm, following an argument with an unidentified man who was driving recklessly. The argument took place at the intersection of Sunset Lake Road and Old Baltimore Pike. The unidentified man reportedly fired several shots from a handgun at the victim before fleeing the scene.

The suspect has been described as a black male, aged between 20 and 30 years old, driving a gold 2005-2010 Buick LeSabre with an out-of-state license plate. The surveillance video and images related to the incident have not yet been released.
