Suspect Who Beat Elderly NYC Man with Wood Plank Indicted

NEW YORK, NY – Carlos Ramirez has been indicted in connection with the fatal assault of an elderly man.

Ramirez allegedly beat the victim with a large plank of wood.

The victim succumbed to his injuries a few days later.

Previously, Ramirez was charged with one count of Attempted Assault in the First Degree and one count of Assault in the Second Degree at the criminal court arraignment.

However, following the victim’s death, Ramirez has now been charged with one count of Murder in the Second Degree.
