FREDERICA, DE – Rykiem Shrieves, 27, of Harrington, Delaware, was arrested by troopers on Thursday in connection with a burglary that took place in late July.

On July 27, a 35-year-old homeowner from Jackson Street in Frederica returned to find a missing safe and a disturbed window air conditioner.

Evidence at the crime scene linked Shrieves to the incident.

On August 10, troopers apprehended him while assisting with his broken-down car on Coastal Highway in Lewes.

Shrieves faces charges of Burglary Second Degree and Theft Over $1,500, both felonies. Following his arraignment by Justice of the Peace Court 2, Shrieves was released on his own recognizance.
