Man Shot in Groin After Argument in Inwood Escalates with Gunfire

NEW YORK CITY, NY – A 27-year-old male became the victim of a shooting near West 206 Street and 10th Avenue on May 8.

The incident occurred at 5:36 a.m. when an unknown male approached the victim and initiated a physical altercation. The individual subsequently drew and fired a weapon, hitting the victim in the groin area. The suspect then fled on foot, heading southbound on 10 Avenue. The victim was transported to NYC Health and Hospitals/Harlem in stable condition.

The individual is described as a male with a dark complexion, approximately 6′ tall, and weighing around 180 pounds.
