Frederick Police Investigate Shooting on East Patrick Street

FREDERICK, MD – Officers responded to a shooting in the 400 Block of East Patrick Street yesterday at 11:55 a.m., where they found a victim who reported a minor hand injury.

The victim, who was boarding up windows on a vacant building, reported hearing a noise consistent with a gunshot. He declined emergency medical services for his minor injury.

Authorities secured the area and activated the Frederick Police Department’s Special Response Team and Crisis Negotiation Team. No suspects were found on the premises.

The investigation is ongoing, but authorities have stated that there is no known threat to public safety. Roads in the area have been reopened.
