Charges Filed in Deadly Crash on Teaneck Road

TEANECK, NJ – Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella shared further details concerning the fatal crash on Teaneck Road from Saturday, October 21. Previously reported, a 2021 BMW M850i, driven by Teddy Mejia, veered off the road, hitting a tree, and subsequently overturned.

The crash resulted in the deaths of passengers Rudy Rosales Escobar and Alexander Cosme Curruchich.

Recent findings have resulted in Mejia being charged with two counts of second-degree vehicular homicide while driving intoxicated and third-degree possession of a controlled substance.

He also received summonses for driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, and failing to maintain a lane.

Mejia is currently awaiting his court appearance in Hackensack, NJ.
