Three Suspected Drug Dealers Arrested in Cape May, Illegal Guns Located

CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE, NJ – The Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office and the New Jersey State Police announced the arrest of Jamal Matthews, Tyrone Brown, and Azanna Shelton for drug distribution and weapons offenses.

On Monday, an investigation into the distribution of methamphetamine and cocaine led to the execution of search warrants on the suspects’ residence and vehicle.

Approximately three ounces of methamphetamines, half an ounce of cocaine, drug paraphernalia, an AR-15 style rifle, a 9mm handgun, and high-capacity magazines were seized.

Brown and Shelton face multiple charges including intent to distribute methamphetamine, possession of an assault firearm, and endangering the welfare of a child.

Matthews faces similar charges, highlighting the serious nature of these offenses.
