Suffolk County, NY – Suffolk County authorities have announced the indictment of Wilkens Adonis and Daryllee Leibrock, both 38, from Holbrook, on drug possession charges after their 14-month-old child was found unresponsive due to a suspected drug overdose.

Acting Police Commissioner Robert Waring, alongside Suffolk County Executive Ed Romaine and District Attorney Ray Tierney, disclosed details of the tragic incident which occurred on January 3. The child, discovered unresponsive in the couple’s bedroom, was transported to the hospital but unfortunately pronounced dead. Subsequent investigations led to a search warrant at the home where narcotics were found, including heroin mixed with fentanyl, cocaine, alprazolam, and loaded firearms.

The death of the child remains under active investigation, with preliminary toxicology results indicating the presence of multiple illegal substances. Acting Police Commissioner Waring praised the department members for their prompt action in securing the scene and obtaining a search warrant. This allowed for the thorough collection of evidence crucial for the ongoing investigation.
