GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP, NJ – The Galloway Township Police Department is investigating a shooting incident that resulted in two teenagers being treated for gunshot wounds. The incident, which occurred near the Hoon King Chinese Restaurant on the 200 block of Collins Road on March 31, 2024, around 8:30 PM, is believed to have stemmed from a dispute between two groups.
After receiving a notification from the Atlantic City Police Department, Galloway Township officers responded to Atlanticare Regional Medical Center City Division, where the victims, a 16-year-old and a 17-year-old male from Pleasantville, NJ, were receiving care for non-life-threatening injuries. The initial investigation led police to the crime scene near the restaurant, prompting a forensic investigation.
Authorities believe the shooting was an isolated event related to a specific dispute between the two groups involved, posing no ongoing danger to the public.
