Arrest Made in Baltimore Carjacking

Baltimore, MD—The Baltimore Police Department reported an arrest in connection with an armed carjacking incident that occurred in the city’s Southern District on April 18, 2024, around 6:42 a.m. Officers responded to a call regarding the incident, which took place in the 2500 block of West Patapsco Avenue.

According to the victim, a male complainant, he was forcibly robbed of his vehicle at gunpoint by a group of unidentified individuals who also assaulted him and stole his belongings. The suspects fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle following the altercation.

Later in the day, Baltimore County Foxtrot alerted officers to a stolen vehicle re-entering Baltimore City. The vehicle was located in the 2300 block of James Street, where a 16-year-old male suspect was apprehended by law enforcement. Subsequent investigation revealed that the stolen vehicle was linked to the carjacking incident on West Patapsco Avenue.

The suspect, identified as a 16-year-old, was arrested and transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he faces charges as an adult in connection with the carjacking and related offenses.
