by Local News Report

BOSTON, MA — Hector Quinones, a 45-year-old Springfield resident, was sentenced to 42 months in prison for cocaine possession with intent to distribute. This sentence was handed down by U.S. District Court Judge Mark G. Mastroianni and will be followed by three years of supervised release. The sentencing took place following Quinones’ indictment by a federal grand jury in April 2022.

At the time of his latest offense, Quinones was already on supervised release for a 2018 conspiracy to distribute heroin conviction in the District of Connecticut.

His criminal record also includes a 2016 conviction for delivering heroin in Rhode Island. Additionally, Quinones received a consecutive two-year sentence for violating his supervised release.

The case was announced by Acting United States Attorney Joshua S. Levy and other law enforcement officials, highlighting ongoing efforts to address drug distribution crimes.
