Man Stabbed to Death in Harlem; Suspect in Custody

HARLEM, NY — On Sunday, a 47-year-old man was fatally stabbed in Harlem and the NYPD has announced the arrest of one suspect.

The incident took place around 3:39 PM near the intersection of West 147 Street and Frederick Douglass Boulevard, within the 32nd Precinct’s jurisdiction.

Police responded promptly to a 911 call reporting the stabbing. Upon arrival, they found Alejandro Santos, of 304 West 147 Street, unconscious and unresponsive with multiple stab wounds. Emergency Medical Services rushed Santos to NYC Health + Hospitals / Harlem, where he was pronounced dead.

Authorities have taken one person into custody in connection with the stabbing, though details about the suspect have not been released. The investigation is ongoing as detectives work to determine the circumstances surrounding the attack.
