Woman fatally stabbed on Bryden Road as suspect arrested at scene

Columbus, OH — A reported stabbing in a Columbus neighborhood ended in a homicide investigation after a woman was found wounded and later died at the hospital.

Officers were dispatched around 12:58 p.m. April 25 to the 1500 block of Bryden Road. Upon arrival, they located a victim identified as 32-year-old Erica Frank suffering from a stab wound.

Medics transported Frank to a nearby hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.

Police detained a suspect at the scene without incident. Authorities identified him as Juanito Ackerman, who has been charged with murder.

No additional details about the circumstances leading up to the stabbing have been released as the investigation continues.
