Allegheny County Man Sentenced for Child Sexual Abuse

HARRISBURG, PA – An Allegheny County man has received a prison sentence ranging from 12 to 30 years for the repeated sexual abuse of two children, committed between 2004 and 2006. Attorney General Dave Sunday announced the sentence on Thursday.

Marc Brown, 67, was sentenced in Allegheny County Court following his guilty plea to charges including involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, aggravated indecent assault, and endangering the welfare of children. These charges are part of a broader investigation by the 49th Statewide Investigating Grand Jury, which has reviewed testimony relating to various members of Jehovah’s Witnesses accused of child sexual abuse.

Brown was an active member of the congregation at the time of the offenses and abused the children, with whom he was acquainted, on numerous occasions. Testimonies presented during the proceedings confirmed that Brown molested the children, watched them shower, and entered their bedroom at night to assault them.
