Application to Operate All-Girls High School on Wooded Residential Jackson Road to be Heard by Zoning Board

JACKSON, NJ – Chana Seigel has submitted an application to convert a wooded colonial home in a residential Jackson neighborhood into an all-girls high school. The application submitted by Seigel will be heard at the next zoning board meeting on August 17th at town hall.

According to the application, Seigel seeks to get approval to convert the existing single-family home into a private high school.

LEGAL NOTICE TOWNSHIP OF JACKSON PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the undersigned, Chana Siegel (the “Applicant”), has applied, by way of a bifurcated application pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:55D-76(b), to the Jackson Township Zoning Board of Adjustment for approval to operate a small, all-girls high school in the existing single-family home on the property located at 950 Maplehurst Avenue and identified as Block 21501, Lot 26 on the Jackson Township tax maps (the “Property”).

The Applicant is seeking the following relief: 1. Use variance from Ordinance Section 244(63)(A) to permit a school where same is not permitted; and 2. Such other relief, as may be required, including any variances, exceptions or waivers deemed necessary by the Zoning Board or its professionals during review of the application. Copies of the application, plans and other supporting documents are on file in the office of the Jackson Township Zoning Board at the Jackson Township Municipal Building, located at 65 Don Conor Boulevard Jackson, New Jersey 08527, and are available there for inspection Monday through Friday, between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. or online.

PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that this matter has been placed on the agenda of the Jackson Township Zoning Board for Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. in the Main Meeting Room at the Jackson Township Municipal Building, located at 95 West Veterans Highway, Jackson, New Jersey 08527, at which time you may appear in person or by an attorney and present any comments and/or objections you may have to the relief sought.
