NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — The Newport News Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a suspect wanted in connection with the January 15 shooting of a juvenile male.

Police responded to the 600 block of Windsor Court shortly after 6:30 a.m., where they found the victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The juvenile was transported to a local hospital for treatment, and his condition has not been publicly disclosed.

Following an investigation, arrest warrants were issued for 23-year-old Kadris Damario Tabb. He is charged with malicious wounding and multiple firearms offenses. Tabb, whose last known address was on Cheyenne Drive, is described as a 6-foot-3 Black male weighing 170 pounds, with short black hair, brown eyes, and tattoos on his left cheek and the left side of his neck.

Authorities warn that Tabb should be considered armed and dangerous. The Newport News Police Department urges anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact them or submit tips through the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
