Arrest made in Columbus shooting

Columbus, OH- On December 5, officers were called to the 3400 block of Nutcreek Ct. in response to a reported shooting. Upon arrival at approximately 4:48 p.m., they discovered Gerald Jackson, age 38, who had suffered a gunshot wound.

Mr. Jackson was taken to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead at 5:28 p.m. His death prompted an investigation by the Columbus Division of Police.

Following the investigation, Dasha Vinson, 38, was taken into custody on Wednesday. She faces charges related to the murder of Gerald Jackson after new evidence was uncovered by detectives.

The Columbus Division of Police’s ongoing efforts in this case have led to the indictment of Ms. Vinson for the crime. Further details on the investigation or upcoming court proceedings have not been disclosed.
