October 3, 2024

BALTIMORE, MD – Authorities have apprehended three 17-year-old individuals in connection with an armed carjacking incident that occurred on the 3000 block of Frisby Street on Tuesday at approximately 10:35 p.m. The suspects approached a 21-year-old victim, brandishing firearms, and demanded his belongings.

After taking possession of the victim’s Toyota, the suspects fled the scene. Despite a swift area canvass by responding officers, the vehicle was not immediately located.

The following day, Wednesday, at around 4:30 a.m., officers engaged in a crime suppression detail were notified of a stolen vehicle moving through the vicinity of Frankford Avenue at Belair Road. Upon locating the vehicle, officers initiated a stop, but the suspects attempted to escape, resulting in a head-on collision with a marked patrol car.

A brief foot pursuit ensued, leading to the arrest of all three suspects in the 1600 block of Sherwood Avenue. The officer involved in the collision was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
