Arrest Made in Schenectady Hit-and-Run Involving Juvenile Victim

SCHENECTADY, NY – The Schenectady Police Department has announced the arrest of Peter J. Greisler, 29, from Rotterdam, in connection with a hit-and-run incident that occurred in the early hours of yesterday. The incident took place at the intersection of Albany Street and Route 7.

Greisler was apprehended yesterday afternoon by the department’s Traffic Division. He faces charges of Leaving the Scene of an Accident with Serious Physical Injury, an E Felony, and Failure to Yield the Right of Way to a Pedestrian in a Crosswalk, a violation.

The victim, a juvenile, is currently receiving treatment at Albany Medical Center. Due to the victim’s age, the police department is withholding further details about their condition and identity.
