Big Powerball Win Reported in Upstate New York

BALLSTON LAKE, NY – A third-prize-winning Powerball ticket worth $100,000 was sold in Ballston Lake for the February 22 drawing, according to the New York Lottery.

The winning ticket was purchased at Hannaford, located at 43 Round Lake Rd.

The Powerball drawing takes place every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 10:59 p.m., with numbers drawn from a field of one to 69 and the Power Ball selected from a separate field of one to 26. The Power Play option allows non-jackpot prizes to multiply by up to 10 times.

The New York Lottery, the largest in North America, contributed $3.8 billion to public schools in the 2023-2024 fiscal year.
